Reach Directive EC/1907-2006
REACH regulations. April 2008
Richco is not involved in the manufacture of any chemicals or the preparation of substances, we are however, involved in the importing and manufacturing of articles (products) but these have no intended releases (toxic emissions) and therefore we are not directly affected.
In the process of producing our products we do purchase resins and metals. Our material suppliers have a legal responsibility to ensure the chemicals used are registered with the European Chemical Agency (ECHA). We are aware of the impact of this legislation and expect them to act diligently and within the scope of registration requirements.
Under the ECHA chemical registration requirement all chemical manufacturers and down stream users of articles which have intended release are being given the opportunity to pre-register from 1st June 2008 to 31st December 2008.
We will continue to monitor and review the situation and manage any changes that may affect our business or our customers. |
